Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2024, Paris-based trade show Cosmetic 360 took place on October 15-16. The winners of the Cosmetic 360 Awards, honoring the best innovations from among the 350 exhibitors across six categories, were unveiled on the event's first day. A special Jury Prize was also given out for the best 'longevity-durability' innovation, the show's key theme this year.
Swiss specialist in cellulose transformation, Seprify took home the Raw Materials award for its complexion-enhancing cellulose technology. The company has unveiled a cellulose-based ingredient with similar properties to titanium dioxide–an inorganic compound derived from titanium, often used as a white pigment in formulations. The new ingredient is meant to be a sustainable alternative to heavy metal oxides, and boasts a mattifying and soft-focus effect on the skin.
